More About Our Guest:

Dan Zoll is Senior Editor of KQED's "Forum with Michael Krasny" program. He previously worked as an interim "Forum" producer during 2002-2004. Before rejoining "Forum," Dan produced two nationally distributed radio shows: "Washington Monthly on the Radio" and "The Business Shrink," a daily business program on Sirius Satellite Radio. He is a former news reporter and city editor for the San Francisco Bay Guardian, and has done freelance writing and editing for a variety of publications. Dan's print and broadcast work has been honored by the Society of Professional Journalists of Northern California, the Peninsula Press Club, the National Newspaper Association, the Press Club of the East Bay, and the Sonoma County Press Club, among others. Dan is a graduate of UC Berkeley, where he majored in English.

Ben Temchine is Senior Producer, and fill-in host, of "Your Call," a daily political affairs call-in program broadcast on KALW-FM public radio in San Francisco. In addition to producing hundreds of live radio shows a year, Ben is an award-winning producer of news and documentaries. His documentary, The Biography of 100,000 Square Feet was the featured documentary on Transom and was a finalist at the 2004 Third Coast Audio Festival. He was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Senegal from 1997-1999, spent 2000 riding his motorcycle across the United States and has lived in San Francisco since he packed his tent away. He is married to Mikaela and they are expecting their first child in September.

Kathi Kamen Goldmark is the producer of "West Coast Live," a live, two-hour variety show featuring a mix of musicians, writers, and "thinkers" from the Bay Area and across the country. She is also the author of And My Shoes Keep Walking Back to You, a novel; co-author of The Great Rock & Roll Joke Book, and Mid-Life Confidential: The Rock Bottom Remainders Tour America with Three Chords and an Attitude; and has contributed essays to several anthologies. She has also worked in publishing "on the inside," for nearly every major publisher, as a media escort and publicist. With Sam Barry, she writes a monthly aspiring-writer-advice column in BookPage called "The Author Enablers." A 2007 San Francisco Library Laureate, Kathi is the founder and a member of the all-author rock band, The Rock Bottom Remainders, president and janitor of "Don’t Quit Your Day Job" Records, Author Liaison for many high-profile literary events - including Book Group Expo and the Friends of the San Francisco Public Library annual Laureates Dinner — and has been the producer of the nationally-distributed radio show "West Coast Live" for nearly five years. She likes to think she is ready for anything.
